That's just a thing we do, isn't it? Just something people of a certain age do. :) The shorthand I have with my wife is just, "band name." Comes up in quite a few conversations.
The meter really ties these together in such a playful way, too. Nicely done.
This is awesome! My friends and I regularly respond to phrases with "oh, that's my band name/I was in a band named that in school." I personally have never actually been in a band, so maybe that's cultural appropriation, but it's a fun bit.
Ha! I'm not sure any generation can fully claim it. One of my former students (now colleague) responded, "Oblivion's Bestie was my nickname in college." :-)
Love it. (I keep a running log of band names in Evernote.) Now, in part 2, you should assign genres to each band.
Not a bad idea. Hmmm.

Haha! Nice. I’m starting to think the greatest success of this poem is that everyone seems to prefer different names. Maybe I could really sell them.
"Confident Guess" is so good. Picturing something with a New Wave vibe. If no one has yet someone please use it!
Sounds right to me. :-)
My favorites are Creepy Victor & the More than Sisters & Drifters with Syphilis.
Among my favorites too.

I enjoyed this. Having been in a few bands myself, it dug up some old silliness I had locked away.
Old Silliness! :-)
